The Autism Foundation of Oklahoma (AFO) has received a generous grant from Expand Energy to enhance its social programming for neurodivergent adults in the Oklahoma City area. This funding will enable AFO to provide inclusive activities that foster connection, reduce isolation, and build community among adults on the autism spectrum and those with other neurodivergent conditions.

AFO’s initiatives offer a variety of events tailored to the interests and needs of neurodivergent adults, aiming to create a safe and welcoming space for participants to build friendships, practice social skills, and access meaningful opportunities for growth and enrichment. Carley Marissa Dummitt, Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist for AFO, expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating that the support from Expand Energy allows the organization to expand its programming and reach more individuals in the community.

Brooke Coe, Manager of Communications & Media Relations at Expand Energy, emphasized the company’s commitment to fostering inclusion and well-being, expressing enthusiasm for supporting AFO’s social programming for neurodivergent adults.

This collaboration highlights the importance of community partnerships in creating inclusive environments where all individuals can thrive through learning and engagement. For more information on AFO’s social programming and upcoming events, visit their website.
